Marcia Elora Johnson was born in Killen, Alabama, the daughter of Bennie and Lola. Laurie passed away at 92, leaving everyone to remember her playful and compassionate attitude. She will be remembered first and foremost as a wife to her beloved husband, Joe Johnson. Second, Laurie was a doting mother to Michael, Deanna, Angela, and Joseph Jr.
Laurie enjoyed traveling around the world. And when she wasn't traveling she hosted family members for dinner and movies. She held many jobs over the years including owning a photography studio with her husband, being a travel agent, loan officer and realtor. She was known for her ability to bake and grow all things most beautiful and delicious. Her home and heart were always open for family.
She is survived by her sisters Mary, Francis, Margaret and Ann her daughters Deanna and Angela, 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
