September 26, 1960 - January 7, 2025
JACQUELINE KAY HOLT "HOOTIE" GILLIAM, age 64, of Sewanee, Tenn., departed this life on January 7, 2025, at STRHS Winchester following a brief illness. Ms. Gilliam was born in Sewanee, Tenn., on September 26, 1960, to the late Johnny Wagner Holt and Louise Summers Holt Foster. Ms. Gilliam was a member of the Out Reach Ministries Church in Winchester. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was employed at several different Restaurant's in the area as a cook for over 30 years. She enjoyed fishing and playing cards Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Holt, sister, Tracie Holt Clark and significant other, Joe Fulkerson.
She is survived by her sons: Chad Gilliam and wife, Stacey of Hillsboro, Tenn., Cory Gilliam and wife, Eliza of Sewanee; and Charlie Holt of Winchester, Special Niece, Jamie Thompson of Tullahoma, grandchildren: Cameron and Corbin Gilliam, and Layla and Casen Gilliam, brother, Chris Foster, of Cowan, nephew, Travis Holt of Sherwood, niece, Stella Foster of Cowan, step-father, Jerry Foster, great nephews: Nicholas Thompson of Dickson, Tenn., Tyce Thompson of Murfreesboro, Michael Palmer of Tullahoma, Tenn., great-niece, Samaris Morgan of Tullahoma, and several special friends.
Visitation for Ms. Gilliam will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 9, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, Jan. 10, in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Pastor Dusty Lawrence, officiating.
Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester.
