JOYCE MITCHELL BRAZIER, age 87 of Pelham, Tenn., departed this life on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Brazier was born in Fayetteville, Tenn., to the late James Clifton Mitchell and Flora Mae Cash Mitchell on November 28, 1936. She was a member of the Valley Home Methodist Church in Pelham, Tenn. where she served many years on the Business Committee Board. Mrs. Brazier was last employed at the former Woolworth's in Nashville as a Sales Assistant for several years and was Personnel Manager the last several years she was employed there. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crafting and loved camping. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother and most of all a Christian woman that loved her Lord and Savior.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Phillip Hardy, brother, E.W. Mitchell and grandson, Paul Clifton Hardy. She is survived by her husband, Gary Brazier of Pelham, Children; Patricia Parrish and husband, Robert of Smyrna, Tenn., Mark Hardy and wife, Brenda also of Smyrna, Tenn., Wendy Isbell and husband, Glen of Cowan, Tenn., Grandchildren; Dawn Boyce, Shawn Leggett, Joe Payne, Melissa Rumsey, Tara Orrell, Darlene Hyde, James Hardy, Jan Woods, Jared Smoot, Sebastian Ledford, Brandy Gambill, Tracy Butrim and Nichole Goins, Sister, Jean Mayes of Nashville and 19-Great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Brazier will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday evening, November 22, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Jimmy Goodman and Bro. Tommy Nunley, officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 12 Noon until service time on Friday.
Interment will follow services in Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester with family members serving as Pallbearers.
