Franklin County High School Girls' Soccer Team Clinches Sixth Consecutive District Title.

In a thrilling District 8AA championship game, the Franklin County High School girls' soccer team secured a 2-0 victory over the Tullahoma Lady Wildcats.


Head soccer coach Kent Bean joined "The Starting Lineup" on ESPN Radio Winchester Friday morning and praised his team's outstanding performance. He credited the leadership of the upperclassman as a large reason behind the teams success. He also commended the team's patience and strategic adjustments that ultimately led to their success in the second half.


Key Moments of the Game:

  1. With 25:29 remaining, Osiris Rodriguez scored the opening goal from a pass by Gracen Baggett, breaking the stalemate.

  2. Madi Morris extended the lead with a goal off a corner kick assist from Rodriguez, securing the 2-0 victory.


The Lady Wildcats were unable to penetrate Franklin County's solid defense, resulting in their eighth shutout of the season. Rodriguez was named the MVP of District 8AA for her stellar performance throughout the regular season and the district tournament.


Individual Recognitions:

  • Rodriguez, Parkerson, Banks, Russell, and Alonso received individual district awards for their exceptional contributions.


With this win, Franklin County improved their season record to 14-3-1 and is now gearing up to face Stone Memorial High School in the Region 4AA tournament semifinals at home next Tuesday.
