Evelyn Louise Smith Long, age 83 of Nashville, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville. She was born in Belvidere on August 27, 1941, to the late Rufus Warren and Lillian (Marshall) Smith. A dedicated homemaker, Evelyn cherished the time spent with her beloved family. She was a member of West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Long. Evelyn is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Lynn Long; and partner, Rick Woodroof. Visitation will be from 12-1pm on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Michael Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
