The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development says that unemployment rates in more than 20 Tennessee counties declined from the previous month.
December unemployment rates were down in 23 of Tennessee’s 95 counties compared with November rates. Rates remained the same in 39 counties and increased in 33 counties.
Moore County reported the lowest unemployment rate for the month at 2.5%, down one-tenth of a percentage point from November.
Area counties:
Franklin County remained at 3.6 percent
Coffee County is up from 3.4 to 3.5 percent
Bedford County rose from 3.5 to 3.6 percent.
Grundy County’s unemployment rate for December stayed at 4.1 percent, and Lincoln County's unemployment rate remained at .3.5
