Burl Sisk Obituary

BURL SISK, age 87, of the Keith Springs Community of Belvidere, Tenn., departed this life on Friday, November 22, 2024, losing his battle with cancer.  Mr. Sisk was born in the Keith Springs Community on February 23, 1937, to the late John Henry Sisk and Sally Ann Stubblefield Sisk.  Mr. Sisk was employed for many years at All Style Iron in Illinois as a Steel Fabricator.  He returned to Tennessee and was employed for approximately 20 years with Serodino, Inc., where he retired, as a maintenance mechanic.  Mr. Sisk was a member of the Steel Workers Union Local #473 in Illinois.  His hobbies were hunting and talking on his CB Radio.  His handle was Beaver Squeezer.  Mr. Sisk could fix anything.  He kept busy trying to keep up with his son, Steven.  He will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sisk was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Sisk, Grandson, Jason Pennington, and brothers, Grover, Delbert, Vernon, John Henry, Jr. and Floyd Sisk.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda Sisk of Belvidere, son, Steven Sisk of Winchester, daughter, Gray Medley of Belvidere, Bonus son/nephew, Donnie Gifford of Belvidere, Bonus son/grandson, Joey Sisk of Rock Vale, Tenn., granddaughters, Jill Henley of Nashville, Brylee Sisk of Hillsboro, grandson, Baylen Sisk of the U.S. Navy stationed in Guam, siblings, Lester Sisk of Winchester, Earl Sisk of Midlothian, Ill., A.J. Sisk of Ellijay, Ga., Clarisy Holman of Ga., Clyde Sisk of Belvidere, Linda Shetters, Belvidere. Several Great-grandchildren and a few great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 26, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services, with Bro. David Pinion, officiating.  

Visitation for Mr. Sisk will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday.

Interment will follow services in the Keith Springs Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
