September 19, 1942  -  December 2, 2024



Brenda Lois Gattis Rose, age 82 of Winchester, passed away December 2, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Franklin County on September 19, 1942. Brenda worked and later retired from Henley’s Supply Millwork. Following retirement, she took care of her granddaughter, keeping Laia each day, and cherished the time spent with her beloved family. She was a member of the Franklin County Jaycettes and the Southern Tennessee Ladies Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed working puzzles and going to Tunica with her friends. Known as “Breezy” to her friends and family, Brenda’s feisty and outgoing personality, as well as her contagious laughter will be dearly missed. She was a member of Cowan First Baptist Church. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, R.L. Gattis and Johnnie B. and Paul Champion; nephew, Andrew Rose; brother-in-law, Mike Rose; and mother and father-in-law, Sumer and Mildred Rose. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-three years, Billy “Squirrel” Rose; children, Chris (Wanda) Rose, Paula Rose, Rhonda Holliday, and Michael Rose; grandchildren, Laia, Kayla , Amber, Justin, and Kristie; several great-grandchildren; brother, Ron (Jeana) Gattis; sister-in-law, Janice Rose; nieces, Linda (Bob) Williams, and Ashley (JB) Hill; nephew, Troy Rose; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 5, 2024, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. L.Z. Johnson and Bro. Rodger Paradise officiating.
